BRENTWOOD, Tenn.—October 18th, 2007—Slanted Records, a division of Spring Hill Music Group, Inc., has announced the release of an expanded edition of rock band DecembeRadio’s GRAMMY-nominated debut, self-titled release. In addition to the original song listing, the new edition, which hits stores on November 13th, includes an all-new single, an acoustic video performance of their hit “Drifter,” a previously unreleased audio recording of “Love Found Me (Love’s Got a Hold),” behind-the-scenes interview footage, a special fan sticker and new packaging. The original self-titled debut was awarded 2007 Rock Album of the Year at the 2007 GMA DOVE Awards.
The new single that is already turning industry heads is “Find You Waiting,” which has just been released to AC and CHR stations everywhere. The song, co-written by band members Josh Reedy, Brian Bunn, Eric Miker and Boone Daughdrill as well as producer Scotty Wilbanks, is a moving ballad that brings to mind the creativity behind the group’s contagious hit “Drifter,” which was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2007 DOVE Awards.
“Josh went in the studio and just sang it!” exclaimed Wilbanks. “We talked about what we were going for, and we gave him the mic…and that was ‘all she wrote.’ You can really hear what Josh is capable of vocally with this performance, and you can hear the passion in his interpretation of the lyrics. It’s a very ‘DecembeRadio’ kind of sound.”
The new release comes on the heels of another landmark for DecembeRadio as their DOVE-nominated single “Dangerous” (nominated for Rock Recorded Song of the Year) was featured twice last week during the season debut of the new CBS drama series “Cane,” which aired on Tuesday, October 9th. “Dangerous,” inspired by the top-selling book Wild at Heart, was also featured last year on the Discovery Channel’s “Hazard Pay” program.
DecembeRadio’s song “Can’t Hide” will be going for adds on October 26th at Christian rock stations nationwide.
Fans will enjoy the behind-the-scenes look into the band members’ lives as they discuss the band’s beginnings, influences and highlights from the past year in addition to segments where each member reveals what the band is like off stage.
DecembeRadio: Expanded Edition, will be distributed by Word Distribution/WEA with digital distribution by EMI CMG Distribution. For further information, visit www.decemberadio.com.
